Jolene's Priorities

Jolene is committed to accurately representing and fighting for the issues that Orford, Rumney, and Wentworth care about most.

Public Education

The State of New Hampshire has a responsibility to ensure that every Granite State child has the opportunity to receive a high-quality public education. Yet, the resources the state provides to local communities has fallen far short of what schools need to help children learn and thrive. The failure to adequately fund education creates tremendous hardships for property-poor towns who must rely on high local property tax rates to make up the difference.

That is why Jolene is committed to securing more funding for public schools in Grafton 6. She intends to work with educators, community members, and district leadership to restore art and music programs, fight for teacher benefits, and bring New Hampshire students the quality education they are so deserving of.

Right now in the NH state legislature, reproductive rights are under attack. With many vowing to revoke access to reproductive healthcare, it is imperative that we fight to protect our freedom to make decisions about our own bodies.

In the NH State Legislature, Jolene will work to prevent the passage of blanket abortion bans and restrictions on healthcare access. She will fight to increase support for women’s healthcare initiatives and protections on everyone's rights to bodily autonomy. At the end of the day, Jolene knows that we all deserve to live in a state where our government trusts us.

Housing

The lack of affordable and sustainable housing in New Hampshire is significantly harming the Granite State’s economy. Families are struggling with housing unit shortages that contribute to record-high home and rental prices. Failing to address this issue is pushing workers and families from our state, leading to an overwhelming workforce shortage.

Jolene's goal is to rally bipartisan support to prioritize development and resources for towns to build housing that meets the needs of their community.

New Hampshire has some of the highest energy prices in the nation, significantly limiting the growth of our economy. The State’s winters, which attract thousands of recreationists, are warming more rapidly than any other season, leading to earlier snowpack melt and an earlier ice-out on lakes. Climate change and energy costs are harming the multimillion-dollar winter recreation economy as well as other weather dependent industries.

Jolene is committed to responsible renewable energy production that delivers economic development, local tax revenue and environmental improvements. She believes in prioritizing climate action that protects New Hampshire's incredible wildlife, community, and industry.
